Noodle for cheap calls

A new mobile service is to launch this month, which claims to beat customers' usual mobile rates with a contract Sim.

Noodle Telecoms will launch the Noodle Sim, combining GSM at the user end with VoIP at the network end.

The Noodle service costs £4.95 per month, with calls from 6p per minute to around 16p for cross-network calls.

The company is also hoping to encourage customers with existing contracts to sign up to Noodle Oodles, a service which gives phone users contracted to other network providers 2p per minute by refunding call termination charges. The account is created by the customer via a text message and the new number is attached to the existing Sim card. The Noodle Sim is then sent to customers when their existing contract expires.
