"Apple has discovered that many of the unauthorized iPhone unlocking programs available on the Internet cause irreparable damage to the iPhone’s software, which will likely result in the modified iPhone becoming permanently inoperable when a future Apple-supplied iPhone software update is installed. Apple plans to release the next iPhone software update, containing many new features including the iTunes Wi-Fi Music Store (www.itunes.com), later this week.
Apple strongly discourages users from installing unauthorized unlocking programs on their iPhones. Users who make unauthorized modifications to the software on their iPhone violate their iPhone software license agreement and void their warranty. The permanent inability to use an iPhone due to installing unlocking software is not covered under the iPhone’s warranty."
Under the deal, Player X will work with over 20 publishers to take their games through QA, deployment, and porting to publish them on O2’s mobile games portal.

Tony Pearce, Player X CEO, said the company was “delighted with the development.”

The mobile device is fast becoming the world’s most popular gateway to information. In fact, there are currently more mobile devices worldwide than personal computers and televisions combined.
As part of ongoing efforts to develop new ways for users to find the information they need anytime and anywhere, Google announced today the availability of AdSense™ for Mobile, a program that contextually targets ads to mobile website content. AdSense for Mobile also allows AdSense publishing partners the ability to earn revenue from their mobile websites through the targeted placement of mobile text ads. With this program, advertisers can connect with the growing number of mobile publishers, ultimately providing users with an enhanced mobile experience that helps them find what they are looking for more quickly and efficiently on the go.
AdSense for Mobile is intended for AdSense partners who have created websites specifically for mobile browsers, and who want to monetize their mobile content via contextual advertising. Like Google's other AdSense products, mobile text ads run on an auction model. The system automatically reviews the content of publishers’ mobile websites and delivers text ads that are relevant to the websites’ audience and content. Publishers earn money whenever mobile users click on the ads.
With this new program, the unmatched reach of the Google content network is extended to the mobile platform. AdSense for Mobile provides a valuable way to connect mobile users with the right ad at the right time as they seek information on the go. AdSense for Mobile is now available to all mobile publishers in 13 countries worldwide.
AdSense for Mobile will be available in the following countries: US, England, France, Italy, Germany, Spain, Ireland, Russia, Netherlands, Australia, India, China, and Japan (available in the coming weeks).

On August 1st, 2007, the current statistics of the Gambling Commission show a growing interest in mobile gambling.
The number of customers that are logging online to place a wager in Britain is on the rise, according to the PA News assessment of the current Gambling Commission statistical studies in the United Kingdom.
The customer surveys that are done this year up to June 2007 show that 8.6% percent of gamblers had taken part in at least one form of gambling during the past month, improved from the 7.4% percent shown from the polls for the calendar year of 2006.
The latest statistics gathered and arranged by the Gambling commission from their surveys shows that the British national lottery remains to be one of the most popular forms of gambling in the country followed closely by poker.
In the first four quarters up to June, about 6.7% percent of the adult respondents on the survey stated that they have placed bets or gambled using a PC, laptop or any handheld device like a PDA, a Blackberry or others in the past month, which have improved from 5.2% percent that are recorded in the survey done by the Gambling Commission last year.
Cellular phone gambling is increasing too, with 3% percent of the adult respondents stating in the survey that they have at least used their mobile device as a wagering tool once a month.
Betting by interactive or digital television has also shown significant increase from 1.7% percent to 1.8% percent. The studies by the Gambling Commission also shows that mobile gamblers are most likely to male players belonging at the 18 and 34 years old age bracket.
